got the job =)

OK, if you’re so curious about how bad Vi and Sean’s break-up, this is the sneak-peek of what I saw yesterday:

I almost fall asleep on the back chair as always when suddenly the bell rang. Everybody quickly gathered their belongings, stuffed it in their bags and moved out of the classroom. The bell means only one thing, school’s finish.

I knew Vi’s going to break Sean up after school which is at that time. She looked tense as we headed to the class room door. Every student from every classroom is now on the corridor, so it’s pretty hard to look for Sean, or anyone else.

“Look Vi, are you sure about this whole breaking up thingie?” I asked, just to make sure. She didn’t answer but she kept on looking for Sean. “There he is!” she said and ten she pushed her way to Sean who was talking to Willy in front of the Student Information board.

I crossed my finger behind my back as I walked closer to them. Vi has said something to Sean and they both left the corridor. Willy seemed confuse but then he also left. I waited and waited but they didn’t turn up so I also left the building.

When I was walking on the pavement on my way home, my cell phone rang. It was Vi, I quickly picked it up for that I want to know has she broke Sean up? I pushed the green button, “How’s it?” I asked.

“Not really bad…But…ok, it’s bad. Bad enough to know that he couldn’t accept the reality that I made the statement of breaking up.” She said. “I’m walking out of the school building now…” she added.

“No, I meant, how’s he?” I asked again.

“Oh, well… he said, ‘I don’t believe you, Vi! We’ve been together for like 7 months! Why do you want to break up with me?” Vi said, copying Sean’s words.

“And you said?”

“I said, ‘well, why not. I’m sorry Sean, but this is my decision. We can’t live with one-way relationship right? I’m sorry’” she replied.

“And what are you feeling right now?” I knew I asked a dumb question but I need to know!

“Kind of relief, but happy, but a little sad too.” She said. I knew she’s lying, it’s impossible that she’s a little sad, she must be thousandth times more sad than she sounded.

“Oh ok…I think you need your own time.” I said.

“Well, actually, yes. Thanks Sugar. Bye.” And then her voice sounds like she wanted to cry when she said ‘bye’. Oh my god, what have I done to my own best friend?

Ok, present time:

I know this is a bit weird, but it’s really obvious that Sean’s a little poor guy. He seems not ready to lose Vi and he looks at Vi like every second. “I know this is pathetic, but he keeps looking at you, for real!” I whisper to Vi. She’s so insensitive! She quickly looks back at his gaze and it makes Sean nervous, getting caught in the act.

“Oh, you’re right.” She replies me. Duh!

“Ok, submit your work everyone!” Mrs. Kelly suddenly informed. I take my paper and submit it to her then back on my comfy back seat with Vi.

“Hey, how about your plan for the Charity Evening? Have you got your dress and everything? You really should be well-dressed for this event. There are like tons of celebrities that will be around and also they make the papz coming too!” she beams at me.

“Oh yeah, now you remind me. I got the dress on e-bay and it’s really pretty. I’m sure the papz won’t be able to take their camera off me!” I say and we both giggle. “But I haven’t got any matching high-heels. I need a silver one to match the dress.” I say.

“Oh, don’t worry about the shoes. You can borrow it from me. I got this amazing Choo that I wore only once and then it turned out to be too small for me. I think it will fit on you.”

“Ok!” I reply. I know I can always count on her for shoes and dresses and make-ups, ok basically, all things that I need for any party.

It’s time to go home when Sean calls me all of the sudden. “Sugar!” I turn my back, “What?”

“5 mins. I need to talk to you.” Uh, ok…

“What?”

“Do you really think that Vi’s sure about her decision. I mean, not that I really put my hopes too high for her, but I’ve known Vi for so long. She often makes a decision without thinking of the consequences…”

Oh yea, keep talking..

“I don’t know Sean..” I exhale, “…I told Vi about the things we did in the lab to her yesterday. And she’s pretty fine with that. I’m not sure about whether she’s sad or crashed but really, she looks fine, unless she’s good in hiding her feelings.”

“What?! You told her? We promised not to tell anyone right? I mean, I did it just because I was carried on, I’m not that serious into you. No, I mean, I’m serious when we were in the lab, but it’s not the point. I love Vi. You know that right?”

“Yea right…” I reply, rolling my eyes. “I also carried on. But wasn’t that you’re the one who started?” I ask.

“Ok. I started the whole thing. But like I said, I was carried on. I still love Vi…will you please tell her to think it all over again?” he pleads.

“I’m not sure. She said she wanted to break up with you and it has nothing to do with what we did on the lab. I really got to go Sean..” then I turn my back and leave him alone.

When my phone rang 2 minutes ago, I just knew that it’s the best thing that can ever happen to me. It’s Mrs. Manson. She called to tell me that I’m accepted to work In Sanctuary! Yay baby!

“Thanks a lot Mrs. Manson! I really appreciate it! Thanks so much!” I say and then she says she has to go. I jump and scream in delight. Nathan and Nicho look at me like I’m some kind of a dumb, but I really don’t care! I mean, I can start to earn my own money when at the same time, helping my parents financially, or maybe I could be someone who is totally independent and I can buy my own dresses and my own stuff. Who knows, maybe I could buy a house?

I stride back to my room and text Ian “I got the job! Yippee!” there, I send it.

Ian replies “wow! Congrats! What shift do you got and what day?”

“Thursdays to Saturdays, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. u?”

“Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays. Same time like you.”

“Ok then. See you this Saturday!”

I throw myself to the bed. It has been a wonderful evening. Gotta admit something everyone, I think Ian’s nice…
